Kathryn wasn't too struck on the drive to reach this particular tarn due to the steep and narrow roads. It is definitely worth it when you get there. The views at Blea Tarn are stunning. I arrived in dull overcast conditions and thought that it would have to be moody images. However, as the day drew to a close the sun made one last appearance from behind me lighting up the mountains on the far side of the Lake just enough to cause a strip of light across them.
Quite often, as here, as the sun retreats the wind calms and the Lake began to resemble a mirror. I cropped the image to improve on the foreground composition.
