I used a Circular Polariser to intensify the cloud formation and to show the best reflections in the River Severn.<br>\r\n<br>\r\nIn 2007 we did not have many days like this, so to get the late September sunshine was a real bonus!<br>\r\n<br>\r\nIn Telford and the immediate surroundings The Wrekin stands out as the lone high point in the area. In September this area is covered in heather with colourful results. I am led to believe in 2006 a great deal of the heather was destroyed by a beetle. Stiperstones is a rocky point south west of Shrewsbury. The beautiful 'Secret' Shropshire hills are part of the stunning scenery around this part of the Midlands and have been compared to a 'mini Switzerland'. The centre of this area is The Long Mynd near Church Stretton.<br>\r\n<br>\r\nBack to Stiperstones. This area is covered in fabulous purple heather in late summer and is worthy of a trip to see just that.
